Dead End - Card Game - Apocalypse Game

DEAD END is a dark-humored, action-packed
solo game of thematic, turn-based survival that plops you in
the stinky boots of three-armed anti-hero, Bobby Butcher.

Utilize Action Point, Hand Management,
and Hero Defense mechanics as you fight off an
onslaught of unique, unrelenting enemies
trying to sacrifice you to the Nexus.

You're far from defenseless, though.

You've got your guns...

Your wit...

And plenty of usefully useless
items scattered about the alleyway.

Flip a Movement card to determine
how many enemies enter play and from
which direction(s) they enter.

Next, advance any enemy in an
“alley” matching the colors on the
Movement card, and then add new enemies
to the board for those colors as well.

Be cautious.
There’s a variety of enemy types, most of which will react differently when entering an alley or after being defeated.

And mixed amongst them,
you’ll find Decoys to use to your advantage, innocent Bystanders to save or sacrifice, and Hazards to… well, be hazardous.

Once the Movement card has been
completely resolved and all Enemy cards
are in play, it’s time to strategically
fight them off!

So, if we flipped a Movement card with red and blue on it,
enemies would enter play at the beginning of the red and blue alleys,
as seen in this example.

We’d then need to select the
most optimal card in our hand
to keep the enemies from
reaching us in the center.

The circled Action card will shoot once down each of the alleys that it’s aiming towards, which will kill both enemies in play.

During play, you’ll come across a variety of Items, Special Items,
and Voice cards that’ll help you…

STAY ALIVE!

At times, surviving might even seem easy, but all it takes is one
dangerous combination of enemies to turn the tides against you.
Point is. Don’t get cocky. Knowing HOW and WHEN to use these
cards is absolutely vital to you making it out of this…
